Side Scan Sonar
Side scan sonar imaging, used to record the character of the bed across the area a survey covers.
Overview
Bathymetry and side scan sonar answer different questions: one measures the shape of the bed, the other images its surface. They are run as separate passes, and their results are interpreted and reported together as part of the survey record.

Survey of a route or working area before marine works, within the agreed scope.
